1. Who We Are

2. What We Collect
2.1 You provide
- Email address when creating an account.
- Password stored as a secure hash. We never see your plaintext password.
2.2 Automatically collected
- Website URLs you submit, sent to our performance analysis service.
- Scan counts in browser localStorage to enforce free plan limits.
- Subscription data including user ID, Paystack reference, plan, and expiry.
- Scan history (Pro users) stored in Supabase, deletable from your dashboard.
- Session data (page, last seen) for live presence tracking in the admin panel.
2.3 NOT collected
- Payment card details — handled entirely by Paystack.
- We do not sell data to third parties or run advertising networks.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To run website audits and enforce plan limits.
- To authenticate you and manage your subscription.
- To respond to support requests you initiate.
- To display live session counts in the admin dashboard.
4. Third-Party Services
Performance analysis service — submitted URLs are processed by our lab metrics provider to generate scores. Their privacy policy applies to that processing.
Supabase — stores accounts, subscriptions, and scan history. Supabase Privacy Policy.
Paystack — processes payments. SitePulse never receives card details. Paystack Privacy.
AllOrigins CORS Proxy — used to fetch website HTML for analysis. We do not store the fetched HTML.
5. Data Storage and Retention
- Account data retained while your account exists.
- Subscription records retained up to 7 years for financial compliance.
- Scan history (Pro) can be deleted from your dashboard at any time.
- Session records deleted automatically after 2 hours of inactivity.
7. Your Rights
- Access — request a copy of your data.
- Deletion — request account deletion, processed within 30 days.
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Export — download your scan history from the Pro dashboard.

8. Children's Privacy
SitePulse is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
9. Security
- All data in transit encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
- Passwords hashed by Supabase — we never see plaintext passwords.
- Database uses Row Level Security (RLS) so users only access their own records.
- Admin actions are rate-limited and require role verification on every request.
10. Changes
We may update this policy and will update the date above. For material changes we will notify registered users by email where possible.
